Job description
HallieMorgan Technologies is seeking an experienced OS Administrator for Red Hat Linux and Windows. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, patching, and upgrading virtual machines within our environment. Successful candidates Shall be able to work both independently and with a team.
Required Education/Qualifications
A BS or Higher in IT, Mathematics or related field
4+ years' IT Experience
US Citizenship required
Required Skills
Must be eligible and/or maintain a position of trust with DHS. A successful background investigation is required. Clearance is a plus.
In depth knowledge of Operating Systems to include Red Hat Linux and Windows.
Solid experience in applying patches, updates and troubleshooting Red Hat Linux and windows in a physical and cloud based deployment.
Familiar with STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and how they apply to Operating systems.
Proficient in various cloud technologies
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Familiar with network troubleshooting and using tools such as wireshark, TCP dump, netstat, etc.
Effective communicator with end users and supervisors to ensure efficient operations
Experience with patch management in large systems.
Knowledge of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) security standards and guidelines from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
Desired Skills
Installing, Configuring and Implementing ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana)
Experience programming Java JDK 1.8 or newer.
Red Hat OS Administration
Apache 2.4+ Administration and configuration

RHCSE : Red Hat Certified System Administrator
RHCE: Red Hat Certified Engineer
Comp Tia: Security+
Microsoft: Any MS System Admin Certification
All work is on-site, in downtown Washington DC
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $110,000.00 - $130,000 per year
